Darren Fichardt

Acknowledged the help and advice given to him by his wife, Natasha, a trained sports psychologist, as he claimed his second European Tour title in the 2003 Qatar Masters with a play-off victory over fellow South African James Kingston at Doha Golf Club. Two years earlier, had made the most of his opportunity on The European Tour when he captured the 2001 Sao Paulo Brazil Open to earn a two year exemption. Tragically lost his sister Debbie in a car crash on the eve of the 2001 Mercedes Benz - South African Open.
