Dave Eichelberger

Started playing golf at age 13 in the junior programs at his family's club in Waco, Texas. Reached the semifinals of the 1964 U.S. Amateur and was a member of the 1965 USA Walker Cup Team.
Won his Tour card in 1967, working his way to a $108,312 season in 1971 that was highlighted with a win in the Greater Milwaukee Open. Won the Greater Milwaukee Open again in 1977. Also won the 1980 Bay Hill Classic. His last victory was at the 1981 Tallahassee Open, coming in a playoff with Bob Murphy and Mark O'Meara.
Played full-time on the PGA Tour between 1968 and 1992, and in 780 events played, he won four times, recorded 49 top-10 finishes and had earnings of $1,186,505.
Switched to the Champions Tour on his 50th birthday in 1993. Has won six Champions Tour events, highlighted by his victory at the 1999 U.S. Senior Open where he defeated Ed Dougherty by three strokes.
Only played in three Champions Tour events in 2011, and his best finish was 77th at the Outback Steak Pro-Am. Only played in two events in 2012, finishing 65th in the U.S. Senior Open and 76th at the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship. Played once in 2013 when he missed the cut at the U.S. Senior Open and had the same result in 2014 and 2015, so his last event on the PGA Tour Champions was missing the cut at the U.S. Senior Open last year.
