Player Notes: His father, a former club professional, got him started in golf as a child. Played primarily on the PGA Tour from 1974-2001, with 344 total starts making 177 cuts. Finished in the top 10 15 times, only top-3 finish was a runner-up showing in 1992 Greater Milwaukee Open. Had career earnings totaling $1,110,985. Best year on the PGA Tour came in 1993 when he earned a career-best $210,125 and finished 82nd on the money list.
First joined the PGA Tour Champions in the spring of 2001 and made his debut at the Bruno's Memorial Classic (T-38th). Played full-time on the tour between 2001 and 2007. Has made 136 career starts, best finish was 3rd in 2002 Turtle Bay Championship and 2006 Blue Angels Classic.
In 2011, open qualified for four events, including the final two full-field events of the year in Texas. Finished T-27th at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, the Insperity Championship and the AT&T Championship. Earned conditional status for the 2012 season by finishing T-11th at the Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. After a three-hole playoff, he claimed the 12th and final conditional spot.
2012 Notes: Finished 38th on the money list, with $388,252, his best overall earnings year since joining PGA Tour Champions in 2001. His total was more than what he had made in the five previous years combined. Had a pair of top-10 finishes, his first top-10s since 2007. Open qualified for the Senior British Open at Turnberry and proceeded to post a T-3rd finish, his best showing on PGA Tour Champions since he was third in the same event six years earlier, also at Turnberry. Three consecutive rounds in the 60s at the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship in September led to a T-6th finish. Also posted a T-8th at the Mallorca Open Senior on the European Senior Tour.
2013 Notes: Played in 20 events, his best finish has been a T-9th at the Montreal Championship. Went back to Q-School, finishing T-31st, which did not qualify for a tour card for 2014.
2014 Notes: In seven starts, his only top-30 finish was T-7th at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open which he earned a spot in on Tuesday qualifying. Was in Champions Tour Q-School and finished T-34th.
2015 Notes: Played in three events, best finish T-52nd at the SAS Championship. Was in Champions Tour Q-School and finished T-20th.
2016 Notes: Only played twice, T-29th Hubb Classic and missed cut at the Senior PGA Championship.
2018 Notes: Didn't play in 2017 and in '18 was T-72nd in Rapiscan Systems Classic and missed the cut in the Senior PGA Championship. Has not played in 2019.
