In 2000, defeated Pat Hurst on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic and become the youngest player (19 years old) to win an LPGA event since Amy Alcott won the 1975 Orange Blossom Classic; named the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year on the strength of her win and seven additional top-20 finishes; recorded her first career hole-in-one during the third round of the Michelob Light Classic.
In 1999, tied for fourth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2000 season.
Amateur
Delasin's impressive amateur career began in 1996 when she captured the California Women's Championship and the U.S. Junior Girls Championship titles. She was the 1997 SEA Games Gold Medal winner (team and individual) and 1998 Junior World champion. She ended her amateur career with a victory at the 1999 U.S. Women's Amateur.
