Frank Lickliter II

Lickliter was born in Middletown, Ohio, adjacent to his hometown of Franklin, Ohio. Lickliter is a 1987 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1991 graduate of nearby Wright State University. He turned professional in 1991.
Lickliter first joined the Korn Ferry Tour, where he earned a win in 1995. He joined the PGA Tour in 1996 and won events in 2001 and 2003. His best finish in a major is T-4th at the 1998 PGA Championship. Lickliter played full-time on the PGA Tour between 1996 and 2011. In 459 PGA Tour events he made 274 cuts with 43 Top-ten finishes. He won $11,841,515. He won twice 2001 Kemper Insurance Open and 2003 Chrysler Classic of Tucson. He was runner-up four times and in third three times. Lickliter also played in 123 Korn Ferry Tour events making 38 cuts and winning the 1995 Boise Open.
On turning 50 in 2019 he played in two PGA Tour Champions events, was T-53rd at the Shaw Charity Classic and T-62nd in the Sanford International. He went to the Qualifying tournament but finished T-56th.
2020 & 2021 Notes: He has gotten in several PGA Tour Champions events through qualifying and sponsor invites, his best finish is 48th in the 2020 Morocco Champions.
He enjoyed a bear-hunting trip to Alaska with Fuzzy Zoeller in spring 2000, fall 2003 and spring 2006. Visited U.S. troops at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Korea and on a 2006 USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to the Persian Gulf with fellow Tour players Corey Pavin, Donnie Hammond, Jerry Kelly and Howard Twitty at Thanksgiving 2006. Has taken a lead in raising awareness and funding for the Wounded Warrior Project. The WWP, based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., assists soldiers who have been injured at war. In December 2005 at TPC Sawgrass, set The Players Stadium Course record with a 62, including the first double eagle on the par-5 11th hole.
