Gibby Gilbert III

Son of former PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions winner Gibby Gilbert. Played collegiately at the University of Tennessee with former PGA Tour player Mike Sposa and Jimmy Johnston, who was best known as the caddie for Steve Stricker.
Made 91 career starts on the Web.com Tour between 1990-2010 and was exempt on that circuit for three years (1999, 2000 and 2008). His Best year was 1999 when he finished third twice--(South Florida Classic & Ozarks Open).
Finished 7th at the 2015 PGA Tour Champions Q-School to earn a conditional exemption after shooting 70 on the last day of the tournament in Scottsdale. Was the first-round leader after a 64 and was just one stroke off the 36-hole lead. Won a pair of events on the Sunbelt Senior Tour (Donald Ross Classic, The Memorial).
2016 Notes: Played in six events on the PGA Tour Champions, best finish T-18th at the Dick's Sporting Goods. Won $56,467 and ranked 98th on the money list. Went back to Q-School and finished T-4th, but eventually finished sixth overall after playoffs which determined the fourth and fifth fully-exempt positions.
2017 Notes: Played in four PGA Tour Champions events, best finish T-48th at the SAS Championship. Went to PGA Tour Champions Q-School finishing T-7th.
2018 Notes: Played in 6 PGA Tour Champions events, best finish T-24th in the Ally Challenge. Again went back to Q-School and won, thus getting a ticket to play on the PGA Tour Champions.
2019 Notes: Best finish T-24th Cologuard Classic.
