Giulia Sergas

Started playing golf at age 10 and credits her coach Donato Diponziano and her family as the individuals most influencing her career.
Was the 1998 European Amateur champion. In 1996 and 1998, she was a member of the runner-up World Cup Teams.
From 2000-02, competed on the Evian Ladies European Tour (LET), where her career-best finish was a tie for third at the 2001 Ladies French Open. In 2000, earned the Bill Johnson Rookie of the Year award after being the leading rookie on the LET Order of Merit.
In 2001, Sergas tied for 31st at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2002 LPGA season.
In 2002, her best finish was a T28, which she achieved at both the Wendy's Championship for Children at Tartan Fields and the First Union Betsy King Classic. She returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament where she finished third to earn exempt status for the 2003 LPGA season.
In 2003, best finish of season was also a tie for 28th, at the Asahi Ryokuken International Championship at Mount Vintage.
In 2004, posted a career-best finish at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, where she tied for second and recorded a career-low 65 during the first round. Added a T5 at the Weetabix Women's British Open.
In 2005, posted a season-best T11 at both the Corona Morelia Championship and the Franklin American Mortgage Championship, where she tied her career-low 65 in the second round.
In 2008, her best finish was a tie for sixth at the U.S. Women's Open, where she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings and tied her career-low 65 in the second round of the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic.
In 2009, her best finish was a T11 at both the Ricoh Women's British Open and the Navistar LPGA Classic.
In 2010, her best finish was a T15 at the Navistar LPGA Classic. Giulia played in eight events on the LET with a season best tie for fourth at the Women's Australian Open. She finished 41st on the LET Money List with season earnings of ?51,020.50.
In 2011, her best finish was a tie for 11th at the Navistar LPGA Classic. She played in 12 events on the LET and earned six top-10 finishes, including a career best finish of second at the Sicilian Ladies Italian Open. She tied for second at the New Zealand Women's Open, tied for third at the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open, fifth at the Ladies Irish Open and tied for sixth at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. That was her best season to date on the LET, with earnings of ?90,224.44.
2012 Notes: Played in 22 events, made 14 cuts and earned $362,659 (39th on the money list). She had two top-10 finishes, including a season-best T4 finish at the U.S. Women?s Open. On the LET, played nine events and made seven cuts, posting two top-10 finishes: a T7 at both the World Ladies Championship and UniCredit Ladies German Open. Earned ?83,545.56, finishing 26th.
2013 Notes: Made 18 cuts out of 24 events and finished 50th on the Tour money list. Had four top-10 finishes including a season-best tie for 4th at the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup. Recorded a career-low 64 during the final-round of the 2013 Manulife Financial LPGA Classic. Crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings at the Kraft Nabisco Championship where she tied for 7th. Competed on her first European Solheim Cup Team and posted a 0-1-1 record.
2014 Notes: Has played in 13 events, with her best finish being a T10 at the Kia Classic. Also has a T19 at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.
When she's not playing golf, Giulia likes to play all types of sports, go skydiving and snowboarding along with listening to music, dancing and reading. Says if she wasn't a golfer, she would have liked to be a skier. Her dream foursome would include Lee Trevino, Lorena Ochoa and Matteo Manassero. Says the coolest thing she's ever done was visit Colorado to work on a ranch and learn the job of a cowboy.
