Gregory Bourdy

Won his fourth European Tour title at the Handa Wales Open in Sept 2013 making birdie on his last three holes to beat Peter Uihlein by two shots. Clinched the 2009 UBS Hong Kong Open along with the 2008 Estoril Open de Portugal following his maiden European Tour title at the 2007 Mallorca Classic, where he became the 18th first time winner of the season to set a new European Tour record. Started playing at the age of four with the encouragement of his golf-loving family. The family interest in the sport is maintained by cousin Nicolas Beaufils who has played on the Challenge Tour, while another cousin has represented France in equestrianism. Narrowly missed out on keeping his card at the end of the 2005 season but did well enough in his 20 starts in 2006 to regain his playing privileges by right, finishing 102nd on the Order of Merit. Enjoys the cinema and watching all sports, as well as playing tennis, badminton and squash. Coached by Olivier Leglise near Biarritz.
2013 Notes: Played in 29 events making 22 cuts and having four top-tens. Got his fourth career European Tour win at the ISPS Handa Wales Open, he finished 25th in the Race to Dubai with ?1,011,375.
2014 Notes: Played in 26 events making 19 cuts. Had three top-tens, best finish was T-6th at the The Championship at Laguna National. Earned ?405,238 and was 73rd in the Race to Dubai
2015 Notes: Played in 29 events and made 22 cuts. Had five top-tens, best finish was T-5th at the Qatar Masters and Maybank Malaysian Open. Earned ?652,728 and was 59th in the Race to Dubai.
2016 Notes: Played in 26 events making 23 cuts, he had 4 top-ten finshes. Had his best finish since 2013 with a 2nd at the Alfred Dunhill Championship He added top-tens with a T-4th at the Handa Perth Internationals and then a T-10th at the Irish Open. Was T-6th at the Lyoness Open. Represented the France at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games finishing T-21st. Was 35th in the Race to Dubai making euro1,063,307.
2017 Notes: Was T-3rd at the Shenzhen International.
