Hye Jung Choi

Shot 71-72â??143 at the Rockville, Md., sectional to qualify for her third U.S. Women's Open.
Started playing golf at the age of 14...Hobbies include cooking and shopping...Qualified for the Tour on her second attempt. Choi was the Korea Junior Champion in 1999 and was the Asia Junior Champion in 2000. She also won the Hyundai Ladies Open in 2000.
In 2002, turned professional in September. In 2004, competed on the KLPGA.
In 2005, played on the Futures Tour, where she recorded four top-10 finishes, including runner-up finishes at the IOS Futures Golf Classic and the Northwest Indiana Futures Golf Classic; tied for 54th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2006 LPGA season.
In 2006, best finish was a tie for 21st at the Corona Morelia Championship; played 18 events on the Duramed Futures Tour and won The Power of a Dream Futures Golf Classic; returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament and shared co-medalist honors with In-Kyung Kim to earn exempt status for the 2007 LPGA season.
In 2007, recorded a career-best tie for sixth at the MasterCard Classic; won the Hite Cup Ladies Championship â?? her first professional victory â?? on the Korea LPGA (KLPGA) Tour.
In 2008, best finish was eighth at the Sybase Classic Presented by ShopRite; carded a career-low 65 in the final round of the Evian Masters.
In 2009, best finish was a tie for seventh at the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship Presented by John Q. Hammons.
