Younger brother of former PGA Tour and Champions Tour winner, Joe Inman, who currently is the head coach at Georgia State University. He and his brother are one of just 12 sets of brothers who have won on the PGA Tour.
Played in 304 events on the PGA Tour from 1984-2012 and enjoyed fully-exempt status from 1987-96. Was a two-time winner, including the 1987 Provident Classic, where he defeated Rocco Mediate and Bill Glasson by one stroke. Also won the 1993 Buick Southern Open. His birdie on the first playoff hole helped him defeat Billy Andrade, Mark Brooks, Bob Estes and Brad Bryant. His highest money-list finish came in 1993 when he was 69th, with $242,140 in earnings, also a career-best in that category. Also played full-time on the Web.com Tour for one season (1997).
2013 Notes: Played in 14 events, primarily through the career victory category. Made his Champions Tour debut, at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, where he finished T-48th. Had his first and only top-10 Champions Tour finish when he was T-9th at the Greater Hickory Kia Classic at Rock Barn after posting three consecutive rounds in the 60s. Finishing the year 80th on the money list.
2014 Notes: Played in 19 events through the Career Victory category. Turned in two of his better efforts in a five-week span during May and June. He was second after 54 holes at the Regions Tradition before a closing-round 75 dropped him to T-9th. Had another good finish in late-June when he was T-14th at the Encompass Championship. Was T-2nd through 36 holes and played in the final group once again but finished with a 2-over-par 74 to drop 12 spots in the final standings. Was also T-15th in his first start of the year at the Allianz Championship. Was 60th on the money list and 61st in Schwab rankings. Went back to Champions Tour Q-School and finished T-14th.
2015 Notes: Played in six events, best finish T-53rd Greater Gwinnett Championship. Went back to Champions Tour Q-School and finished T-63rd.
2016 Notes: Played in 11 PGA Tour Champions events, best finish T-8th at the Principal Charity Classic. Finished 77th on the money list with $152,550 in earnings. Went back to Q-school but finished T-21st.
2018 Notes: Didn't play in 2017, played in 6 PGA Tour Champions events, best finish T-47th at the 3M Championship. Went back to all stages of PGA Tour Champions Qualifying school, finishes T-31st.
2019 Notes: Only start T-40th at the Rapiscan Systems.
