Julie Yang

Started playing golf at age 6. Her Korean name is Cha Ryung Yang. She speaks English, Korean and Thai.
Won the 2007 U.S. Kids World Championship and was a Rolex AJGA All-American in 2007 and 2008. Moved from South Korea to Scotland in 2009. A year later, became the youngest player to win the Welsh Ladies Open Stroke Play Championship, the Danish International Ladies Championship, and the English Women's Open Stroke Play Championship. She also was the medalist at the Girls' British Open Amateur Championship that year.
Moved to the U.S. in 2011 and won the Women's Trans National Amateur. Played in the LPGA Tour's Kia Classic and finished T-46 at age 15. Attended Oklahoma State for two years and was All-Big 12 both years, finishing T-17th in the NCAA Championship as a freshman.
Finished T-18th at the LPGA Q-School in 2014, losing in a playoff for full status but turning pro upon earning a conditional card.
2015 Notes: Made 1 cut in 12 starts (in her first start, T-34th Founders Cup) and finished 155th on the money list. Gained full status for 2016 by finishing T-10th at Q-School.
2016 Notes: Best finish T-6th at the COATES Golf Championship.
