His close friend and compatriot, Alex Noren, claims Broberg practices more than any other player in the world, regularly clocking up 12 hours a day when he is at home during the Swedish summer.
Broberg began playing on the Challenge Tour in 2012. He won the second event he played in the Finnish Challenge on August 5th. He won again the next week at the Norwegian Challenge. Broberg won for a third time that month at the Rolex Trophy to earn an instant promotion to the European Tour; he was the fastest player ever to achieve this having played just five events in the season. The victories helped Broberg shoot up the Official World Golf Ranking from 1,109th to 173rd.
Returned to Challenge Tour action in October and won the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Challenge hosted by Royal Golf Club to move to the top of the Rankings. Took second place in the final Rankings after a tied seventh place finish at the Grand Final
Broberg also played on the Nordic League where he won four events between 2011 and 2012.
2013 Notes: In his first full year on the European Tour, played in 27 events making 9 cuts. Best finish was 2nd to Charl Schwartzel in the Alfred Dunhill Championship, albeit by a distant 12 shots. Finished 103rd in in the Race to Dubai with euro258,105.
2014 Notes: Played in 31 events and made the cut 19 times. Had three top-10s and finished 47th in the Race to Dubai. Had a T-6th at the NH Collection Open, then a T-3rd at the Irish Open. Was a bit unlucky because he was tied with Matthew Baldwin and Danny Willett and they got the Open Championship slots because they had better world rankings than him. But with his 2nd at the Scottish Open got an exemption into the Open Championship.
2015 Notes: Claimed his first European Tour title in superb fashion in the third event of the 2015 Final Series, the BMW Masters. Carded a four under par 68 in the final round which left him tied for the lead with American Patrick Reed, then beat the Ryder Cup star at the first hole of a play-off with a 12-foot birdie putt. Went into the week 61st in the Race to Dubai and needing a good performance to guarantee his place in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship,
For the year played in 32 events and made 24 cuts. Along with the win had a T-2nd at the Made in Denmark. Was 14th in the Race to Dubai standings.
2016 Notes: Best finish T-15th at the Maybank Championship Malaysia.
