Libby Smith

Started playing golf at the age of 7. Credits her family as the individuals who influenced her career the most. Won the New England Girls High School Championship from 1995-06 and is a five-time Vermont State Women's Amateur champion (1999-2003). Is the only woman to ever play NCAA Div. I men's golf for four years and also serve as captain of the University of Vermont (UVM) men's golf team. Was honored by the New England Collegiate Golf Association for her impact on women's golf. Also received a full scholarship to UVM to play basketball, where she was an all-conference selection and scored more than 1,000 points. Topped the UVM charts as the all-time leader in games played, starting all 122 in her career. Under Smith's leadership, the UVM women's basketball team won two America East Championships (2000, 2002) and advanced to the 2000 NCAA Tournament. Named the 2002 UVM Female Athlete of the Year for her participation in both women's basketball and men's golf.
In 2005, competed in 11 events on the Futures Tour, where she recorded two top-10 finishes; also competed on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour; tied for second at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines to earn exempt status for the 2006 LPGA season.
Played full time on the Futures Tour in 2005, 2008 and 2009.
In 2009, returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she finished 31st to earn Priority List Category 20 for the 2010 LPGA season.
