Mi Jung Hur

Started playing golf at the age of 10. Credits her father as having the most influence on her career. She also remembers watching Se Ri Pak win the 1998 U.S. Women's Open and cites this as one of the most inspiring moments in her golf career. Was a member of the Korean National Team in 2005 and 2006, winning the individual and team competition at the Korea National Team Festival. In 2006, she won the individual title at the Queen Sirikit Cup Asia Pacific Tournament and was a member of the 3rd-place team. As an amateur finished T-6th at the 2006 Kolon Hana Bank Championship.
In 2008, Hur competed in 17 events on the Duramed Futures Tour, recording eight top-10 finishes, including winning the Louisiana Pelican Classic. Finished fourth on the Futures Tour season-ending money list to earn Priority List Category 9 for the 2009 LPGA season.
In 2009, she became a Rolex first-time winner at the Safeway Classic, carding a career-low 65 in the final round, defeating Suzann Pettersen and Michele Redman in a two-hole, sudden-death playoff. Also, T-8th at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.
In 2010, best finish was T-2nd at the ShopRite LPGA Classic and finished T-9th at the Sybase Match Play Championship.
In 2011, best finish was T-8th at the Honda LPGA Thailand.
In 2012, played in 18 events, 15 cuts made, $202,428 (59). Had two top-10 finishes, best finish T-3rd at Navistar LPGA Classic.
2013 Notes: Competed in 13 events and made five cuts, her best finish was T-37th at the Wegmans LPGA Classic.
2014 Notes: She was 30th on the money list (her career-best) and 47th in CME points. Hur made 14 cuts in 24 starts. She had her first top-10 finish of the year with a T-9th at the Portland Classic and followed that with a T-3rd at the Evian Championship, two strokes back of winner Hyo Joo Kim. One week later, she won for the first time since 2009 at the Yokohama Tire Classic in Alabama, shooting a 21-under 267 to beat Stacy Lewis by four strokes.
2015 Notes: Played in 23 events, making 14 cuts. Was 72nd on the money list and 73rd in CME points, her best finish was T-11th at the Kingsmill Championship.
2016 Notes: She played in 26 LPGA events and made 21 cuts. She had 7 top-10s, including two runner-up finishes. Was T-2nd at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout, finishing two shots back of winner Jenny Shin. She was 2nd at the Reignwood LPGA Classic in China, one shot back of winner I.K. Kim. Hur finished 21st on the money list with $749,782 in earnings and 32nd in CME points.
2017 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA events and made 24 cuts with six top-10 finishes. Best was T-2nd at Aberdeen Management Ladies Scottish Open she shot a final round 66 and was one shot back of winner Mi Hyang Lee. Was T-3rd at the Lorean Ochoa Match Play, lost her semifinal match to Sei Young Kim but beat Michelle Wie in the consolation match. Also, T-3rd at the U.S. Women's Open, four shots back of champion Sung Hyun Park, T-4th at the KIA Classic, and T-5th at the VOA Texas Shootout. Hur finished 14th on the money list with $1.067,462.
2018 Notes: Played in 24 LPGA Tour events making 21 cuts with six top-ten finishes. Was 14th on the money list with $1,030,252 in earnings, finished 12th on the CME points list. Recorded her first career multiple-win season with victories at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open and the Indy Women in Tech Championship.
2020 Notes: Played in just 5 LPGA Tour events making 3 cuts with one top-ten. Was 85th on the money list with $99,250 of earnings and 89th on the CME points list. Began her year T-4th at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, when COVID-19 shut down she was in Korea and decided to stay there playing some events on the Korean LPGA. Did have a 6th place finish at the Financial Group Star Championship She didn't return to America until November and finished the year with three LPGA starts, best finish was T-20th a the Pelican Womens Championship.
2021 Notes: Best finish T-6th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Jeongeun Lee6
