Michele Redman

Started playing golf at the age of 11. Was the 1983 Ohio State Junior champion. In 1986, she was a quarterfinalist at the U.S. Women's Amateur and finished as the second-lowest amateur (T-30th) at the U.S. Women's Open. Played collegiate golf at Indiana University, where she won four tournaments, twice was named an All-America selection and four times earned All-Big Ten Conference honors. In addition, she was the Big Ten Conference champion in 1987.
Prior to qualifying for the LPGA Tour, played on the Futures Tour for three years, where she won three events and posted several top-10 finishes.
In 1991, qualified for the LPGA Tour by T-8th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1992 LPGA season.
Redman played full-time on the LPGA Tour between 1992 and 2011. She played in 460 events and made 370 cuts. She had 77 top-10 finishes, with two wins. Her best year was in 2002, when she was runner-up twice and had 10 top-10 finishes and earned $665,904 to finish 13th on the money list. In her career, she has won $5,721,512 which places her 49th on the career money list.
She was a member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team in 2000, '02, '03 and '05, winning five points with a 4-5-2 record.
On August 10, 2011, it was announced that Redman would be the next women's golf coach at the University of Minnesota. At the 2011 Safeway Classic, Redman announced her retirement from competing on the LPGA Tour.
Redman still coaches at Minnesota and since 2011 has played on the Legends Tour. She had won three times, 2011 Legends Tour Open Championship, 2013 Walgreens Charity Classic and was co-champion at the 2017 BJ's Charity Championship. She was runner-up in the 2017 Senior LPGA Championship followed by a T-4th finish in 2018. At the 2018 Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup in Washington, she finished T-6th.

Michele shot 78-73-74-77=302 (+10) to finish T-19th in the first U.S. Senior Women's Open.
