Mike Reid

Earned the nickname "Radar" for his accuracy off the tee. Has done some consulting work on a few golf course projects. Biggest thrill in golf was capturing the 1988 World Series of Golf. Got his start in the game as a 5-year-old when his father introduced him and his two brothers to the game. Played on the PGA Tour between 1977 and 2001, in 581 starts won twice, was runner-up seven times and finished in the top 10 78 times with earnings of just under $4.7 million.
Prepped for the Champions Tour by playing in five Web.com Tour events and made cuts in two of those before joining the Champions Tour in July 2004. Made his debut at the Senior British Open, where he tied for 57th. Registered his best performance at the Kroger Classic near Cincinnati in September. Closed with a 5-under-par 67 to tie for fifth along with Des Smyth, three strokes back of Bruce Summerhays.
Earned his first Champions Tour victory by defeating Jerry Pate and Dana Quigley in a playoff at the 2005 Senior PGA Championship at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pa. Eagled the 72nd hole and birdied the first extra hole for the victory.
2012 Notes: Managed three top-25 efforts for the second year in a row, however, did not register a top-10 performance for the second consecutive year. Best effort was a T-11th at the Boeing Classic. Was also T-19th at the SAS Championship. Going into 2013 played in 184 Champions Tour events with 19 top-10 finishes and earnings of just under $4 million.
2013 Notes: Made just seven official starts, the fewest in his Champions Tour career. Finished T-10th with partner Ken Green in the unofficial Raphael Division at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf in April. Was T-26th at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai to open the season. Regained fully-exempt status for 2014 by finishing T-2nd at the Champions Tour Q-School. Posted four consecutive rounds in the 60s to secure one of the five fully-exempt spots.
2014 Notes: Played in 21 events, with a trio of top-20 finishes. Best came in his second start when he was T-12th at the Allianz Championship. Added a T-17th with partner Dan Forsman at the Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf. Was also T-18th at the Greater Hickory Kia Classic in his final start of the year.
2015 Notes: Teamed with Dan Forsman to T-10th at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf. A highlight of their final round was Reid's ace on No. 17 with a 4-iron from 194 yards. It was his second Champions Tour ace. Finished the year 102nd on the money list and 82nd in the Schwab rankings.
2016 Notes: Made five starts, his best finish a T-26th with Dan Forsman at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf.
2017 Notes: Only played in 3 events, T-30th at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf teamed with Dan Forsman, 74th at the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship, and missed the cut at the Senior PGA Championship.
2018 Notes: Played in four PGA Tour Championship events. Best finish, T-22nd at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf teamed with Dan Forsman. Best individual finish T-60th in the 3M Championship.
2019 Notes: To-33rd Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf teamed with Dan Forsman, missed the cut at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.
Has not played an event since.
