Mike Standly

Started playing the game of golf around the age of 5 years old and credits his dad for introducing him to the game. Says his most memorable golf experience was winning the 1993 Freeport McMoran Classic (on the PGA Tour).
When he he is not playing, Standly likes to go fishing and hunting. Has a son, C.A., was his caddie at the 2014 U.S. Senior Open. Works in sales for Able Industrial.
Standly played the Ben Hogan Tour, now the Web.com Tour, in 1990. He earned his PGA Tour card for 1991 by finishing T-16th at qualifying school. He played on the PGA Tour from 1991 to 1999. From 2000 to 2008, he split his gradually decreasing playing time between the PGA Tour and Buy.com Tour.
On the PGA Tour, Standly played in 312 events, making 150 cuts and earning $1,834,597. He had amassed 35 top-25 finishes in his PGA Tour career including 12 top-10 finishes. He is able to boast three top-five finishes in one particular tournament: the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. He had a T-2nd there in 1992, a win in 1993, and a T-5th in 1995. Standly finished second at the 1997 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic when Billy Ray Brown birdied the final hole to win by one stroke. His best finish in a major championship was a T-16th at the 1993 U.S. Open.
On the Web.com Tour, Standly played in 106 events, making 45 cuts. His best finish was T-3rd at the 2003 Alberta Calgary Classic.
