Nino Bertasio

Bertasio Nino was born in Zurich on 30 July 1988. Enjoys tennis and snowboarding and has the benefit of his father being a coach in both.
Growing up as a golfer in the Gardagolf Country Club. Over the years he has won numerous championships with the Italian team
After turning professional in 2011, he joined the Alps Tour. His first win on that tour came in 2014 at the Open St. Francois Region Guadeloupe, followed a week later by another win at the Asiago Open; he went on to win the Order of Merit and qualify for the Challenge Tour.
In 2015 he comfortably retained his card on the Challenge tour, with his best performance at the Volopa Irish Challenge where he lost in a playoff to Tom Murray. At the end of the year he qualified for the 2016 season on the European Tour via qualifying school.
2016 Notes: Played in 23 European Tour events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. His best finish was T-5th at the Trophee Hassan II. He earned euro319,336 and placed 96th in the Race to Dubai. Represented Italy alongside Matteo Manassero at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. He finished T-30th on the Olympic Golf Course.
2017 Notes: Played in 33 European Tour events making 19 cuts with 3 top-ten finishes. Bertasio ended the season with a strong run of form that included a run of six top-20 finishes in eight tournaments with a T-10th at The Italian Open and T-8th at the Andalucia Valderrama Masters. He earned euro466,137 and was 82nd in the Race to Dubai.
2018 Notes: Played in 28 European Tour events making 17 cuts with one top-ten finish, T-5th at the Maybank Championship. Earned euro326,917 and was 102nd in the Race to Dubai.
2019 Notes: His best career finish came at the Aberdeen Standard Scottish Open. He finished T-4th just three back of the Wiesberger/Hebert playoff. With the great finish was able to qualify for the Open Championship and will play in his first major championship.
