Oliver Fisher

Fisher was born in Chingford, London. He was a winner of the Faldo Series, Nick Faldo's development programme for young golfers, in 2003, 2004 and 2005 and as such was regarded as one of the best prospects of his generation. In 2005, at just 16 years and 334 days, became the youngest player to take part in the Walker Cup. Fisher was coached from nine years old until January 2009 by Chris Jenkins, who is co-owner of the Crowlands Heath Golf Club.
In late 2006, while still an amateur, Fisher entered the European Tour's qualifying school. He finished fifth to become the second-youngest Briton to win a tour card and immediately turned professional. He made the cut at his first five European Tour events and ended the season just outside the top-100 on the 2007 Order of Merit to retain his card for 2008. A solid 2008 season which included a runner-up finish at the Open de Andalucía, where he lost out in a playoff with Thomas Levet, saw him finish in 51st place on the Order of Merit.
Lost his card in 2009, but bounced back in 2010 by finishing 81st, the highlight being a three-week spell in the spring when he was runner-up at the Madeira Islands Open BPI-Portugal, 7th at the Volvo China Open and tied for 4th at the Ballantine?s Championship.
Began to fulfil that potential with a victory in the 2011 Czech Open, which helped him finish 95th in The Race to Dubai. Took the same spot in 2012 thanks to some good form late in the year.
2013 Notes: At the end of 2012, Fisher entered the PGA Tour Qualifying School and reached the final stage. However, he missed qualifying by just one shot. This was the last time that the Qualifying School provided a chance for players to qualify for the main PGA Tour, so instead of playing on the Web.Com Tour he returned to play on the European Tour for 2013. In 28 events best finish was T-11th at KLM Open.
In 2014 got off to a good start with a runner-up finish at Africa Open, losing a playoff to Thomas Aiken. Also had another top-ten with a tie for 6th at the NH Collection Open and T-9th at the Alstom Open de France.
