Pedro Linhart

Born in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Canary Islands to American parents, his real name is Paul. Apart from three years from 1989 to 1992 in America where he won several mini tour events he has played most of his golf in Spain. So much that he chose in the 80s to switch from United States to Spanish citizenship, he also switched his name from Paul to Pedro, in America know as Peter.
He turned professional in 1982, and after a failed visit to European Tour qualifying school in 1986 he spent time working as an assistant pro in New Jersey and playing on the mini-tour circuit in the United States.
Linhart won a European Tour card at his second attempt and was a rookie on the tour in 1994. In 1995 he won the Canarias Challenge, a Challenge Tour event, on the islands of his birth. In 1999 he won the Madeira Island Open on the main European tour, but he suffered a wrist injury in 2000 and was unable to build on this success. In 2007, Pedro finished 2nd in the Qualifying School for the European Tour, and therefore regained his card. 2008 wasn't that great of a year as in 20 events only made 9 cuts and earned euro49,535 finishing 196th on the order of merit.
Linhart has played a total of 190 events on the European Tour with one win, one runner-up and one third place finish. In his 190 starts he made 97 cuts and earned Euro752,212
Played in mini events around Europe and Spain until he turned 50 at the start of 2013.
