Peter Fowler

Has been one of the best players on the Staysure Tour (European Senior Tour) since turning 50 in 2009. Has been in the top 15 of the order of merit since he led that list in 2011.
Captured his third Senior Tour title with victory in the 2013 French Riviera Masters as he finished in the top five on the Order of Merit for a third consecutive season. Recorded six top-five finishes in 2012, including runner-up in the Travis Perkins Plc Senior Masters and joint runner-up in the MCB Tour Championship, as he finished fourth on the Order of Merit. The previous year in Mauritius, he lifted the John Jacobs Trophy after topping the 2011 Senior Tour Order of Merit following a fine campaign in which he won twice and finished in the top-10 13 times in 18 appearances. Claimed his first Senior Tour title in the ISPS Handa Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum - his first victory in 18 years. Did not take long to make it two victories, coming from seven shots back in the final round of the Bad Ragaz PGA Senior Open the following month. Became the third Australian to win the John Jacobs Trophy, following in the footsteps of Noel Ratcliffe and Ian Stanley. Initially struggled upon joining the Senior Tour after suffering a career-threatening back injury in practice before his Senior Tour debut in 2009. Played just four times that year, but worked tirelessly to recover and finished 29th on the Order of Merit in 2010.
Won the Australian Open in 1983 and then finished second on The European Tour no fewer than six times between 1984 and 1992, before finally making his winning breakthrough in capturing the 1993 BMW International Open in Munich. Individual and Team winner of the World Cup in 1989 when partnering with Wayne Grady for Australia. But after his success in 1993, he struggled to find the same form and went back to the Qualifying School Final Stage four times, successfully graduating in 1999 and 2001 to regain his European Tour card. Began to show some of his old form in 2002, finishing 63rd on the Order of Merit. Improved on that performance in 2003, finishing 45th, helped by three top-10 finishes in his first six starts. Lost his card at the end of 2006, but bounced back via the 2007 Challenge Tour Rankings, taking the 18th card. Played on the European Tour between 1983 and 2008 and in 522 starts won once at the 1993 BMW International and was runner-up eight times. He finished 43 times in the top-10 and earned a total of euro 3,278,320.
