Ronnie Black

Was 9 years old when he first picked up golf club. His father was a high school basketball coach and brother was a PGA Professional. Two-time winner on the PGA Tour after joining the circuit in 1982. First victory came at 1983 Southern Open, where he came from three strokes off the pace to catch Sam Torrance of Scotland, then dropped a 6-foot birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole to win. Won again the following year at the 1984 Anheuser-Busch Classic, overcoming a seven-stroke deficit with a final-round 63 to defeat Willie Wood by one stroke. Best season on the PGA Tour was in 1984, when he finished 35th on the money list. Has made 556 PGA Tour starts playing full time between 1982 and 2002. He made 325 cuts with 30 top-ten finishes, three third places and two runner-up finishes. Had earnings of $3.15 million.
Joined the Champions Tour in 2008, Best finish in 72 starts is second at the 2010 Toshiba Classic and tied for second at the 2009 Dick's Sporting Goods Open.
After 2011, lost his Champions Tour card, tried to get it back at the end of 2012 but finished T-47th. Also tried at the end of 2013 and finished T-18th, which was his last start on the Champions Tour.
