Ryan Evans

Was a good footballer in his youth until a broken leg put him out of the game for nine months, after which he could return to the same standard. Instead, his father took him to a local driving range and he was soon hooked on golf.
Turned pro after a highly successful 2014 season during which he won twice in Australia, headed the stroke play qualifiers at the Australian Amateur and finished T-2nd at the Brabazon Trophy at Seaton Carew. Was a member of the winning European team at the 2014 Bonallack Trophy in India and was also a member of the victorious GB & I team at the 2014 St Andrews Trophy. Played for England in the 2014 European Men's Team Championship and the 2014 Home Internationals before also representing his country at the World Amateur Team Championship in Japan. Counts Andy Sullivan as a great friend with the pair having played a considerable amount of amateur golf together. Won the 19th card at last year's European Tour Qualifying School.
2015 Notes: Played in 17 Challenge Tour events making 15 cuts. He was in the top-10, 3 times T-4th at the Rolex Trophy, T-6th Volopa Irish Challenge and T-3rd at the Karnten Golf Open. Finished 28th in the Road to Oman Rankings, a major confidence boost before he set off for the Qualifying School Final Stage, where he won the 19th card after playing the last two rounds in seven under par.
2016 Notes: Playing his first year on the European Tour was in 22 events and made 12 cuts. Had one top-ten finish, T-3rd at the D+D Real Czech Masters. Finished 135th in the race to Dubai and lost his European Tour card.
2017 Notes: Played in 23 European Challenge Tour events making the cut in 16 of them and finishing 8 times in the top-ten. Won the Turkish Airlines Challenge he finished 8th in the Road to Ras Al Khaimah order of merit getting his European Tour card back for 2018.
2018 Notes: Best finish of the year, T-11th at the Rocco Forte Sicilian Open.
