Sakura Yokomine

Started playing the game of golf around age 8 and credits her father for introducing her to the game. When she's not playing golf, Yokomine enjoys watching movies, playing tennis and shopping. She got married in April 2014. Has three career holes-in-one. Says her most memorable golf experience was the Japan LPGA Tour Final Race in 2009.
Yokomine finished in the top five on the Japan LPGA Tour money list every year from 2005 until joining the LPGA Tour in 2015 except one, 2012, when she finished 11th.
In 2009, finished first on the Japan LPGA Tour money list. Won six events that year, including the Studio Alice Ladies Open, Kosaido Ladies, Nichirei PGM Ladies, Munsingwear Ladies Tokai Classic, Itoen ladies and Japan LPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup. She became the first player in Japan LPGA Tour history to win more than 175 million yen in a single season.
In 2010, won the JLPGA Fundokin Ladies. Played in the HSBC Women's Champion's LPGA Tour event that year and notched her best finish in an LPGA Tour event, a tie for ninth.
Also won the Yumeya Championship on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour.
She won four times on the 2013 Japan LPGA Tour (CyberAgent Ladies Golf Tournament, Munsingwear Ladies Tokai Classic, Nobuta Group Masters GC Ladies and the Ito En Ladies Golf Tournament).
2014 Notes: She was T7 in the U.S. Women's Open, the sixth time she made the cut in the Open and her second top-10 (2010). T4 in the Mizuno Classic, her best LPGA finish. She won the Japan LPGA's Elleair Ladies Open in November for her 23rd JLPGA title. Through 2014, she has never missed the cut in a major championship, having made the cut in six U.S. Women's Opens, five ANA Inspirations, one Evian and one LPGA Championship.
2015 Notes: Made 20 cuts in 26 starts and finished 44th on the money list. Had two Top-10s, including a season best 5th at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.
2016 Notes: Played in 30 LPGA events making 21 cuts. Best finish was T-10th at the Cambia Portland Classic. Was 71st on the money list with $241,513 in earnings and was 68th in CME points.
2017 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA events making six cuts. Best finish was T21 at the Cambia Portland Classic.
2018 Notes: She had her career-best finish at the ShopRite Classic as runner-up, one stroke behind Annie Park. She also finished T13 at the Meijer LPGA Classic. Made 10 cuts in 16 LPGA events and was 71st on the money list with $254,958 in earnings.
2019 Notes: Finished T17 at the LPGA Lotte Championship.
