Scott Langley

Earliest golf memory was playing in the backyard with family. Was the low amateur at the 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, finishing in a tie for 16th.
Turned professional after the 2011 U.S. Amateur where he lost in the round of 16. Seven top-10 finishes in his senior year at the University of Illinois and was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 2011. Played on the 2010 U.S. World Team Amateur Team in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the team finished third. Lost in the quarterfinals of the 2010 U.S. Amateur.
Won the individual title at the 2010 NCAA Division I Championship as a member of the Illinois golf team. Has won four individual collegiate titles and helped the team to the 2010 Big Ten Conference Championship team title. Won the Metropolitan Open in 2008 and 2009. Reached the first round of match play at the 2008 U.S. Amateur and the second round in 2009. Also advanced to the second round of match play at the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. Named Big Ten Player of the Year, a first-team All-American selection and first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2010. Played on the 2010 United States Eisenhower Trophy and Palmer Cup teams.
Finished T17th at Q-School at the end of 2012, earning his Tour card for 2013 and becoming the first First Tee alum to earn membership onto the PGA Tour.
2013 Notes: Rookie season ended with 12 made cuts in 27 starts to go with one top-10 finish. Finished 122nd in the final FedExCup standings and 127th on the money list to regain his Tour card for 2013. In his first start of 2013, Langley opened with a 62 at the Sony Open in Hawaii to lead after the first round. Shot 66-65 and then a final-round 70 to drop into a T-3rd, seven shots back of winner Russell Henley.
So far in 2014, has one top-10 finish, a 3rd at the Valspar Championship where he shot 5-under par. Langley currently ranks 78th in the FedEx Cup Rankings.
