Simon Khan

Captured the biggest title of his career in May 2010 when he became the first sponsor's invitation to win the BMW PGA Championship, The European Tour's flagship event. His one stroke win, courtesy of a closing round of 66 over the remodeled West Course at Wentworth Club, earned him a check for 750,000 Euros and a five-year exemption.
First made his winning breakthrough on the European Tour International Schedule in June 2004 when he came back from four shots behind with seven holes to play to defeat Paul Casey at the second hole of a sudden-death play-off for the Celtic Manor Wales Open. Started the week with a stunning course record 61 at The Celtic Manor Resort. Cited the victory of his close friend Scott Drummond in the PGA Championship at Wentworth Club the previous week as the inspiration for his own win in Wales.
Had to go to the Qualifying School to earn his card for the 2010 season and did so in emphatic fashion, winning the six-round Final Stage at PGA Catalunya Resort in Spain. Inspired to take up golf as a 12 year old after watching Seve Ballesteros win The Open Championship at St Andrews in 1984. Introduced to the game by his grandfather. Played golf for Essex before turning professional at the age of 18. A keen Arsenal FC fan.
In 2013, was beaten by Matteo Manassero in a four hole playoff at the BMW PGA Championship.
