Simon Khan

Khan was inspired to play golf as a 12-year-old after watching Seve Ballesteros win The Open Championship at St Andrew's in 1984.
Introduced to the game by his grandfather, Kahn played golf for Essex before turning professional at the age of 18. He made his breakthrough on the European Tour by winning the 2004 Celtic Manor Wales Open.
After losing his card, he regained it by winning the 2010 Qualifying School before capturing the biggest title of his career in May 2010 when he became the first sponsor invitation to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Has struggled with various injuries throughout his career.
He played in 371 European Tour events between 2001 and 2018. He made 202 cuts and had 31 top-ten finishes. Won twice at the 2004 Celtic Manor Wales Open and 2010 BMW PGA Championship. He almost won a second BMW PGA in 2013 but was beaten by Matteo Manassero in a four-hole playoff. He had three runner-up finishes. He earned eruo6,214,681 and finished inside the top-30 three times in the Race to Dubai in 2004, '06, and '10.
2022 Notes: Played in 11 Legends Tour events with two top-ten finishes. He was 20th in the Order of Merit, earning euro95,206. He was T-5th at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship and 8th at the MCB Tour Championship-Seychelles.
2023 Notes: Played in 13 Legends Tour events with three top-ten finishes. Best finish T-5th at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship.
