Tag Ridings

Ridings was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His father, an Oklahoma club professional, started him in golf. Ridings played at the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1997 with a degree in marketing; he turned professional later that year.
Ridings has played the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour since 2002. On the Korn Ferry Tour, he played in 296 events, making 163 cuts and 27 top-ten finishes. He won twice at the 2002 Permian Basin and 2020 TPC Colorado Championship. He earned a total of $1,390.498, and his best year had to be 2010, when he finished in the top ten nine times in 27 starts.
Ridings played full-time on the PGA Tour between 2004 and 2009, then in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2017. He played in 239 events, making 122 cuts with 13 top-ten finishes. Although he never won a PGA Tour event, he finished T-2nd at the 2004 Michelin Championship at Las Vegas. He had his best season on the PGA Tour in 2005, finishing 91st on the money list and earning $891,812. Between 2004 and 2017, he earned $4,712,032 on the PGA Tour.
His best moment had to be winning the TPC Colorado Championship at age 46. He ended the longest drought between wins in Korn Ferry Tour history (6,895 days), as he earned a spot in a three-man sudden-death playoff with a par save on the 72nd hole. He made a 13-footer for a playoff-extending birdie on the first extra hole, and two-putted for a tournament-winning par on the second playoff hole at the TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes. he had rounds of 70-68-66-68 and totaled a 16-under 272 for the tournament, he beat David Skinns and Kevin Yu in the playoff.
He went to the PGA Tour Champions Tour and finished 2nd in the first stage. At the final stage, he finished T-19th, which earned him eligibility to play in open qualifiers in 2025.
