, defeated Bruce Crampton in a two-hole playoff to capture the Senior PGA Championship at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. That win made Wargo the first PGA club professional to capture the Championship since Jack Fleck (1979). . .Winner of 10 PGA Professional Tournament Series events, 1988 Illinois PGA Section Champion, Gateway PGA Section Shootout in 1990 and the Irvin Cobb Championship in 1990... Was the 1992 PGA Professional Player of the Year... 1991 and '92 Player of the Year in the Gateway PGA Section... Member 1988 and '92 PGA Cup Team... Has played in four PGA Championships (1987, '88, '91 and '92), best finish T-28th in 1992... T-23rd in 1992 PGA Professional National Championship... Best finish in seven PGA Professional National Championships, T-3rd in 1986.
Has now played on the Champions Tour for 20 years, has made 471 starts with four wins, 10 runner-ups and 103 top-10s. Has earned just over $8 million on the Champions Tour.
