Bronson Burgoon

A two-time All-American at Texas A&M. College teammate of PGA TOUR members Bobby Gates and Martin Piller. He played a hero's role on his team's victory at the 2009 NCAA Championship. All square in the final match vs. Andrew Landry of Arkansas, hit a wedge shot within two inches on the final hole to clinch the victory. Watched his older brother, Brandon, also play golf at Texas A&M.
In April 2006, at age 18, qualified for the PGA Tour's Shell Houston Open. Carded rounds of 75-73 to miss the cut in his first career Tour start.
2010 Notes: Qualified for the 2010 U.S. Open at Bethpage State Park in New York, where he missed the cut following rounds of 74-79. Starting his career as a professional he made the cut in two Web.com Tour starts. Was also T-36th at the Mexico Open Bicentenary and then finished T-52ns at the Fort Smith Classic, carding a 65 on the final round.
2011 Notes: Made seven cuts in eight starts on the Adams Golf Pro Tour. Had four top-10 finishes. Best effort was a T2 at the Coca-Cola Walmart Open.
2012 Notes: Had one top-ten and two top-25 finishes in seven starts during the inaugural PGA TOUR Latinoamerica season. Best finish was T-6th at the Lexus Peru Open, an event he led following a 6-under 66 in the opening round. On consecutive weeks in July, won two Adams Golf Pro Tour events, and had three top-ten finishes and seven top-30 finishes in nine starts on that Tour. Closed the year ranked 44th in the Order of Merit. Earned his PGA Tour Latinoamerica card by finishing T4 at the Qualifying Tournament in August.
2013 Notes: Made the cut in 11 of his 14 starts on PGA Tour Latinoamerica, with four top-three finishes and eight top-25 finishes. Was T-3rd at the season-ending Visa Open de Argentina. Was T-3rd at the Personal Classic. His best showing was a T-2nd at the Lexus Peru Open, where he posted rounds of 72-68-67-69 to finish one shot behind tournament champion Julian Etulain. Was T-3rd at the TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open. Had a very solid season-ending stretch, with three of his four top-three finishes on his last four starts. Closed the year with a T-6th finish at the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament Final in December and claimed one of the best categories available for the Web.com Tour's 2014 season.
2014 Web.com Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 24; Rounds Played - 69; in money - 11; top -10 Finishes - 1; Scoring Average - 70.77 (rank 89th); Season money $100,581 (rank 40th), finals money $3,700 (ranked 108th), Priority rank (113th); Best finish: 2nd News Sentinel Open.
2015 Web.com Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 25; Rounds Played - 86; in money - 18; top -10 Finishes - 6; Scoring Average - 70.01 (rank 30th); Season money $185,927 (rank 18th), finals money $83,753 (ranked 12th), Priority rank (115th); Best finish: 2nd Nova Scotia Open (lost playoff to Abraham Ancer), T-2nd at Nationwide Children. Finished the Regular Season 18th on the money list to earn his PGA Tour card for the first time.
2017 Notes: Played in 27 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts and had 7 top-25 finishes. Best finish T-14th at The Honda Classic was 131st on the season-ending FedExCup race.
2017 Web.com Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 10; Rounds Played - 36; in money - 8; top -10 Finishes - 3; Scoring Average - 69.28 (rank 6th); Season money $40,116 (rank 193rd), finals money $90,812 (ranked 12th), Priority rank (19th); Best finish: 4th Web.com Tour Championship. Secured his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season with a 12th place finish on the 2017 Web.com Tour Finals money list.
2018 Notes: Played in 24 PGA Tour events making 12 cuts with one top-ten. Had his first PGA Tour top-ten with a T-6th finish at the Quicken Loans Championship which got him an invite to play in the Open Championship. He did even better 2 weeks later finished T-2nd at the John Deere Classic, now his best finish on the PGA Tour. Missed the cut at Carnoustie. Did make it to the FedExCup Playoffs, T-11th at the Northern Trust and T-58th at the Dell Technologies Championship to end the year 78th in the FedExCup standings.
2019 Notes: Shot 63 in the opening round of the CIMB Classic, finished 69-67-68 to finish T-2nd, five shots back of winner Marc Leishman. Since then going into the PGA Championship has played in nine events and only made one cut, T-59th at the Honda Classic.
