Ewen Ferguson

Winning the Boys Amateur Championship at Royal Liverpool in 2013, he became the first Scot to win the Championship in almost a decade when he claimed the title. Later that summer, He won the Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championships and Match Play Championship, becoming the only player ever to hold all three titles simultaneously.
In 2015, he helped Scotland win the European Team Championship in Sweden, beating Denmark 4.5-2.5 in the final. He learned so much early on about the pressure of playing in front of big crowds, including when I was a part of the winning Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup team at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2015. The team beat the Americans by 16.5 points to 9.5. Ferguson himself played two matches, winning one of them, which came in a narrow 1up victory over Maverick McNealy.
Ferguson turned professional in August 2016.
In November 2017, Ferguson made the final stage of the European Tour Q-school and finished in 76th place. He then competed full-time on the Challenge Tour in 2018 and 2019, with a best finish of runner-up at the Euram Bank Open in 2019 and finished 25th in the 2019 Road to Mallorca Challenge Tour rankings. In 2019 he had a best finish on the European Tour of third place in the Belgian Knockout. COVID hit before the start of the 2020 Challenge Tour season and so with a freeze on demotions and promotions from the Challenge Tour and European Tour, Ferguson took advantage of his category and nearly managed to play a full European Tour schedule. Returning to the Challenge Tour in 2021, he was a runner-up three times and had three other top-10 finishes; he finished 8th in the Road to Mallorca Challenge Tour rankings, securing his full European Tour card for the first time.
In March 2022, in only his 37th start, Ferguson claimed his first European Tour victory at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. In 2022, he played in 28 DP World Tour events, making 17 cuts with five top-ten finishes. He was 17th in the Race to Dubai. Ferguson won his second European Tour event in August 2022 at the ISPS Handa World Invitational. He shot an opening-round 61 to eventually win wire-to-wire. A month later, he finished second at the Made in HimmerLand in Denmark; one shot behind Oliver Wilson.
2023 Notes: Played in 28 DP World Tour events, making 20 cuts with seven top-ten finishes. Was 37th in the Race to Dubai with earnings of euro1,087,668. He was T-3rd at the SDC Championship, eight shots back of the winner Matthew Baldwin. The next week was T-4th at the Honsson Workwear Open, five shots back of the winner, Nick Bachem. Was T-8th at the KLM Open and T-4th at the Betred British Masters, 3 shots back of winner Daniel Hillier. He was T-9th at the Open de Espana and the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.
2024 Notes: Was T-9th at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and T-7th at the Magical Kenya Open. Won the BMW international by two shots over Jordan Smith and David Micheluzzo.
