Chris Gotterup

Played Lacrosse for 12 years and loves music.
Gotterup played college golf at Rutgers from 2017 to 2021. In 2019, he won the Metropolitan Amateur and New Jersey State Open and was given the Metropolitan Golf Association Jerry Courville Sr. Player of the Year Award. He transferred to Oklahoma for 2021?22, where he won the Haskins Award and Jack Nicklaus Award as the top college golfer.
Gotterup turned professional in 2022 after the NCAA championship. He played events on both the PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour in 2022, including a T-7th at the Puerto Rico Open (as an amateur) and a T-4th finish at the John Deere Classic, competing on a sponsor exemption. Played in 24 Korn Ferry Tour events, making 21 cuts. He totaled 14 top-25s and closed the season with five top-25s in the final six events. He finished T-3rd at the Korn Ferry Tour Q-School to earn his 2023 Korn Ferry Tour card. He had three top-10 finishes on the tour in 2023 and earned his 2024 PGA Tour card by finishing 23rd on the Korn Ferry Tour points list.
2024 Notes: Played in 26 PGA Tour events, making 13 cuts with one top ten finish. That top ten was very special because he won the Myrtle Beach Classic by six shots, earning his first PGA Tour title in his 27th start at the age of 24 years, 9 months, 22 days. Held the outright lead after the second and third rounds. Became the first player to bogey the first two holes of the final round and go on to win since Keith Mitchell at the 2019 Cognziant Classic in The Palm Beaches. Finished 119th in the FedExCup Fall standings.
2025 Notes: In his first 21 starts had 25 top tens and missed nine cuts. Didn't have his first top-ten until like the previous year, which came on a win. That victory was at the Genesis Scottish Open when he shot 68-61-70-66 to beat Rory McIlroy and Marco Penge by two shots. The victory got him a last minite to play in the 153 Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
