Says he owes his success to his father, who gave up a thriving mechanic business. Adam grew up in Yeppoon, Australia and dominated the local amateur scene there. His father gave up his business and moved the family to Brisbane for Adam to play more competitive golf. "He gave it all up. Without him, it wouldn't have happened. I owe him a lot," says Adam. Trains with Jim Bardon at the Queensland Academy of Sports. First broke par aged 16 at Yeppoon GC. 1 under 70. Admires Tiger Woods, Peter Senior and Ernie Els for the way they conduct themselves. Adam continued to show his vast potential with his best season to date on the Asian Tour in 2007. He challenged Gaurav Ghei for the Pine Valley Beijing Open title before finishing second, his best outing on Tour, and posted three other top-10s at the Motorola International Bintan, Bangkok Airways Open and Volvo Masters of Asia. He earned his Tour card in 2005 and posted five top-25s to successfully retain his playing rights. His main highlight of the year was finishing fifth in the Volkswagen Masters-China and 11th in the Singapore Open. In 2006, he was joint fourth at the Crowne Plaza Open in China and followed that up with a tied ninth outing in the Volkswagen Masters-China, as well as top-20 finishes at the Barclays Singapore Open and Pulai Springs Malaysian Masters.
