Alexandra Kaui

Began playing at age three, under the guidance of her father.
Kaui has a bolstered USGA championships résumé. She competed in the 2010 and 2011 U.S. Girls' Junior, but failed to make the cut in either competition. Also competed in the 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links but did not advance to match play. In 2012, competed in the U.S. Girls' Junior and advanced to the round of 16. She qualified for the U.S. Women?s Open in 2013 but failed to make the cut.
Has had a successful junior career, winning the 2006 Hawaii State Championship and finishing runner-up in the 2007 Hawaii State Championship. Also finished T-8th in the 2009 Arizona Silver Belle, 9th in 2010, and 4th in the 2012. In 2011, she also won the AJGA Genesis Jr. Championship and the Las Vegas Jr. Open. In 2012, she finished 2nd at the AJGA Matt Snodgrass Las Vegas Girls Jr., and 9th at the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions.
In 2013, finished 6th in the AJGA Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic and 22nd in the AJGA Thunderbird International Girls' Junior.
She attended the University of Oklahoma in 2013 and was a WGCA All-American, the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and an All-Big 12 selection. In 11 events, she notched four top 10s and eight top 20s. Her best finish came at the Big 12 Championships, where she finished T-6th. She qualified for the NCAA Championships as well and finished T-16th.
She struggled in her sophomore year compared to her rookie season but still competed in all 10 events and finished with the Sooners? third-best scoring average. Her best finish was 13th at the Schooner Classic, and she finished T-36th at the Big 12 Championship.
Following that year, Kaui transferred to UNLV, where she just completed her junior year. She won the Mountain West Championship by five strokes, the largest margin of victory in history. Named to the Mountain West second-team.
When she's not golfing she enjoys reading, ever since she was a little girl when she went shopping she would immediately head towards the book department. She also enjoys playing other sports, including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and volleyball.
