Among her junior accomplishments was being a three-time member of the USA Junior Solheim Team (all three teams won); a two-time member of the USA Junior Ryder Cup Team; and T-26th in the 2009 U.S. Women's Open when she was 14.
She won the 2012 Annika Invitational and finished 2nd in the 2011 Rolex Girls Junior Championship. In 2011, she finished in the top 5 in all five of the American Junior Golf Association tournaments she entered. Runner-up to future LPGA Tour winner Minjee Lee in the 2012 U.S. Girls' Junior at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, Calif., defeating Lydia Ko in the semis.

2013 Notes: She was an AJGA All-American and won all three of her starts - the Rolex Tournament of Champions; ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior, which included a first-round 63 that is an AJGA record; and Rolex Girls Junior.
2014 Notes: As a freshman at UCLA, she won the inaugural Annika Award as the best women's college golfer. She was a first-team All-American, winning three times (Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invite, Stanford Intercollegiate, Pac-12 Championship) and placed 2nd once. UCLA finished 3rd in the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, and Lee was T-38th in the individual competition. She was T-29th in the ANA Inspiration on a sponsor's exemption. She was 3-1-0 for the victorious 2014 USA Curtis Cup Team in its 13-7 win over Great Britain & Ireland at St. Louis C.C. She lost in the quarterfinals of the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur, 1 down, to Brooke Henderson, the eventual runner-up. She was T-3rd in the individual portion of the Women's World Amateur Team Championship and helped the USA to a T-5th finish. Despite suffering from food poisoning early in the week, Lee was 1-3-0 in the Solheim Cup, winning her singles match over Gwladys Nocera, 3 and 1, as the U.S. team came from four points down on Sunday to win the Matches. At the conclusion of her four-ball match Sunday morning, Lee was involved in a bit of controversy when she missed a birdie putt on 17 and picked up her ball, assuming the 16-inch return putt was conceded.
