Andrew Georgiou

Fully exempt into the 2012 Open Championship by shooting 71-68 in International final qualifying in Africa
Was born in Johannesburg South Africa and lived there until he was 10 Years old. His family then moved to Erinvale Golf Estate in Cape Town, & this is where he started playing golf. Andrew grew up in a home where Christian principles were taught and modeled. His mother is the Editor and Publisher of Africa's leading evangelical Christian magazine. He attended Sunday School from an early age and later the church youth group.
Represented the South African National team 3 times as a Junior Golfer in 2004 was selected to represent South Africa in the Junior World Cup Championship in Japan. After that moved to Columbus, Ga to attend Columbus State on a golf scholarship. Graduated from Columbus State University in 2009 with a Marketing degree. And i was a 4-Time All American Golfer.
Today lives in two places, when in America Columbus, Ga. When in South Africa he lives in Cape Town at Erinvale Golf Course which is near the Helderberg basin mountain range and only ten minutes from the beach.
Turned pro in 2009, tried PGA Tour Q-School and made it into the second stage. Also played on the Sunshine Tour and Hooters Tour. In 2010 played Sunshine tour, in nine events made five cuts and best finish was T12th in Telkom PGA Championship.
In 2011 played a combination of some events on the Sunshine Tour, some mini-tour events in America and tried to qualify in a half dozen Nationwide Tour events.
