Annie Park

Park started playing golf at the age of 8 but was worried it would interfere with her after-school dance classes. Park got over that and made golf her prime thing. She was born in Queens and moved to Long Island at age 2, where her parents own a chain of nail salons. She lived in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla., from ages 10-13. She moved back to Long Island before high school.
In 2012, she became the first girl to win the Nassau County High School boys golf tournament. Won the 2011 Golfweek East Coast Junior Invitational and the Lessing's AJGA Classic. Advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur. Semifinalist in the 2011 U.S. Women's Public Links Championship. In 2011, 2009, and 2007 advanced to the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship round of 32. Played in the 2010 U.S. Women's Public Links Championship round of 16. In 2007 and 2009, she advanced to the U.S. Women's Public Links Championship round of 32. Had two AJGA wins in 2008, including the AJGA Cliffs Championship and CNL Lifestyle Company Championship. Played on the 2008 Evian Masters Junior Cup Team in France. Three-time Rolex Junior All-American.
Played collegiate golf for three years at USC, recorded four wins, and led the team to its third NCAA team title. She won the NCAA Individual Championship title, which she accomplished by a decisive 6-stroke margin, as well as the NCAA West Regional and the Pac-12 Championships. Was named the 2013 WGCA and Pac-12 Player and Freshman of the Year. Also received the Honda Sports Award. Last week she was a co-medalist in the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links but was defeated in the first round of match play. She played in the 2014 Curtis Cup and was 3-1 in the 13-7 win over Great Britain & Ireland.
She joined the Symetra Tour after turning pro in 2015 and won the Danielle Downey Classic in her fourth Tour start. She later won the PHC Classic and the FireKeepers Championship and finished first on the Tour money list to earn her LPGA card for 2016. Park was the 10th player in Symetra Tour history to win three times in one year, and she did it in her first nine starts.
2016 Notes: She played in 25 LPGA Tour events making 15 cuts and two top-ten finishes. Best was T-6th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, she shot a final round 63 and was 7 shots back of Anna Nordqvist. For the year, won $172,337, which ranked 82nd, and finished 80th in the Race to CME.
2017 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA events and made only 7 cuts. She dropped from 82nd on the money list to 127th with earnings of $59,914. Her best finish was T-26th at the VOA Teas Shootout. Because of the drop, she would only have partial status on the LPGA in 2018.
2018 Notes: Played 19 LPGA Tour events making 16 cuts with three top-10s. In her fifth event of the year was at the ShopRite Classic, she shot rounds of 69-65-63 to win by a shot over Sakura Yokomine. The victory got her full card privileges back. Toward the end of the year, finished T-2nd at the Buick LPGA Shanghai, 2 shots back of winner Danielle Kang. For the year, won $549,421, ranking 40th on the money list and 31st in the Race to CME. Played on the Solheim Cup team and was 1-2-0, Park won her singles match with Celine Bouteir 2 & 1.
2019 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events making 19 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 50th on the money list with earnings of $407,836, and she placed 33rd on the CME points list. Was T-3rd at the Hugel-Air Premia L.A. Open, five shots back of winner Minjee Lee. Also, with partner Megan Khang, T-7th at the Meijer LPGA Classic and T-6th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational.
2020 Notes: Played in 14 LPGA Tour events making 9 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 79th on the money list with $118,543 in earnings. Finished 6th in the season-opening Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions. She shot a final round 64 to finish two shots back of the playoff, which Gaby Lopez won. After that, his next best finish was T-21st at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
2021 Notes: Played in 18 LPGA Tour events making 12 cuts with no top-tens. Was 98th on the CME Points list and 103rd on the money list earning $123,423. Her best finish was T-12th at the KIA Classic. She finished her season T-33rd at the Pelican Womens Championship.
2022 Notes: Was T-5th at the Palos Verdes Championship, three shots back of winner Marina Alex. Was T-9th at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play, beaten in the Round of 16 by Jenny Shin who won 2 & 1.
