Brady Watt

Started playing the game of golf around the age of nine years old and credits his dad for introducing him to the game. Says his most memorable golf experience was playing in the semifinals of the 2013 U.S. Amateur and being ranked the World Amateur No. 1 player for a time.
Had an outstanding 2012 season that saw him record four victories and seven second-place finishes in Australia. He began 2013 with a runner-up finish in the Australian Master of the Amateurs, was the leading qualifier in the Australian Amateur and placed fifth in the Lake Macquarie International, which he won in 2011. Finished third in the 2013 Porter Cup. Earned co-medalist honors with England's Neil Raymond in stroke-play at the 2013 U.S. Amateurs after firing rounds of 68-66 to garner the No. 2 seed for the match-play event. Defeated U.S. Junior Champion Scottie Scheffler in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals to face fellow West Aussie Oliver Goss. Watt fell to Goss 2-up in the match. Was named a 2013 Global Golf Post All-Amateur First-Team member after that event. Advanced to stage II of the Web.com Q-School later that year.
Thus far in 2014, has participated in the Joburg Open, Africa Open and Dimension Data missing the cut in all there and then finished 49th at the Puerto Rico Open, then missed cut at Zurich Classic. Won the U.S. local qualifier in Odessa, Texas with a 66. Finished T17th at the Dominican Republic Open with scores of 71-70-71-72 and then 16th at the Lexus Panama Classic, shooting scores of 70-69-70-71. Both events are part of the PGA Tour Latinamerica tour.
When he's not golfing, Watt enjoys working out and going to the beach and jet skiing. Brady joins fellow Australian National Team member and good friend, Oliver Goss, in this year's U.S. Open Field. Before turning professional, Watt use to be what he called a 'professional cleaner' as he would clean office buildings and bathrooms. He says it was a really good thing for him at the time because it was all night-work, which allowed him to practice golf during the day, and it allowed him to make some money and really be able to focus on his game.
