Cam Davis

Davis had a successful amateur career. In 2015 he won the Australian Amateur and was a runner-up in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship behind Jin Cheng. In 2016 he was part of the Australian team that won the Eisenhower Trophy in Mexico and was also the individual winner. The Australian team won the team event by 19 strokes, and Davis finished two strokes ahead of fellow-Australian Curtis Luck in the individual event.
Davis turned professional in late 2016. He played in Mayakoba's OHL Classic and tied for 15th place.
Davis qualified for the 2017 PGA Tour Canada by finishing 4th in the Q-school. He was T-14th in his first event, the Freedom 55 Financial Open, but had a disappointing season, finishing 76th on the tour's rankings and losing his card. In November, he won the Emirates Australian Open, a shot ahead of Jonas Blixt and Matt Jones. He shot a final-round 64 for his first professional win and automatic qualification into the 2018 Open Championship. Davis also had status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2018 after reaching the final round of Q School, after starting at First Stage. Despite finishing too low at Q School to earn significant Korn Ferry Tour privileges, Davis won the Nashville Golf Open and became a full member of the Korn Ferry Tour.
2018 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 15; in money - 9; top-10 finishes - 4; scoring average 69.60 (ranked 16th); money $146,054 (ranked 34th); Korn Ferry Tour finals money $126,675 (ranked 6th), Priority rank 10; Best finish, Winner Nashville Golf Open, 3rd at Nationwide Children's and T-3rd at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. Secured his PGA Tour card for the 2018-19 season by finishing 5th on the Finals money list
2019 Notes: Played in 25 PGA Tour events, making 13 cuts with four top-25 finishes. He was 160th on the FedExCup points list. Their best finish was T-11th at the Barbasol Championship. They went into the Korn Ferry Playoffs and was T-13th at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. Secured PGA Tour membership for the 2019-20 season by finishing 21st in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals 25.
2020 Notes: He played in 20 PGA Tour events, making 11 cuts and two top-ten finishes. He was 84th on the FedExCup points list. He was T-9th at the Sony Open in Hawaii and T-8th at the Honda Classic. In the FedExCup playoffs, he was T-29th at the Northern Trust.
2021 Notes: Played in 26 PGA Tour events, making 21 cuts with three top-ten finishes. He finished 27th in the FedExCup standings. T-6th at the Sanderson Farms Championship held the 54-hole lead but shot a final-round 72 and was five shots back of winner Sergio Garcia. He earned his first career top-five on the PGA Tour with a 3rd-place finish at The American Express. He was three shots back of winner Si Woo Kim. He finished eagle-birdie at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, which got him into a playoff, defeating Troy Merritt with a par at the fifth extra hole. Joaquin Niemann was also in the playoff but was eliminated with a bogey at the first extra hole. It was his first PGA Tour victory and his first win since his 2018 Nashville Open victory. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-31st at the Northern Trust and T-29th at the BMW Championship.
2022 Notes: Played in 25 PGA Tour events, making 18 cuts with five top-ten finishes. It was 56th in the FedExCup rankings. He was T-10th at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Shot final round 63 to finish T-3rd at the RBC Heritage, a shot back of the Jordan Spieth/Patrick Cantlay playoff. He was T-7th at the Charles Schwab Challenge and T-8th at the John Deere Classic. He was 6th at the Barracuda Championship, nine points back of winner Chez Reavie. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-13th at the FedEx St. Jude and T-35th at the BMW Championship. He played in his first Presidents Cup and had a 2-3-0 record. He lost his singles match to Jordan Spieth 4 & 3.
2023 Notes: Played in 29 PGA Tour events, making 18 cuts with eight top-ten finishes. It was 48th in the FedExCup rankings. He had a rough start, only making four cuts in his first ten starts. After missing five cuts in a row, he finished T-6th at the Players Championship. He was third going into the final round but shot 74 to finish nine shots back of winner Scottie Scheffler. He was T-7th at the RBC Heritage, four shots back of the Matt Fitzpatrick/Jordan Spieth playoff. He shot a final round 65 to finish T-4th at the PGA Championship, six shots back of winner Brooks Koepka. Ended the season T-10th at the 3M Open, T-7th at the Wyndham Championship, T-6th at the FedEx St. Jude, and 40th at the BMW Championship. In the fall, he was 3rd at the Fortinet Championship and T-7th at the Shriners Children's Open.
2024 Notes: T-18th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
