Casandra Alexander

Alexander started playing golf at age 10. She grew up with her mother and older brother as her father passed away when she was two and a half years of age. A friend of the family gave her a small golf club to play around with; that is how she got started. Sport has always been very prominent in Casandra's life, and at a point when she was young, she played eight different sports. Due to limited time, she chose to play field hockey and golf, and when she was 16 years of age, she decided to focus on golf. Casandra played golf because it was great fun and her passion for the sport. She watched Nicole Garcia, Nobuhle Dlamini, Ashleigh Buhai, and Lee Anne Pace winning in her first few amateur events. It inspired her to keep practicing and developing her game, and her golf commitment became more serious. Her role model is Lee Anne Pace because Casandra aspired to be like her when she was an amateur. She is also inspired by Carly Booth because she seems adventurous and is highly engaged with her sponsors and network.
Her foremost achievement as an amateur was winning the South African Stroke Play Championship in 2016. Alexander turned professional in late 2018 and joined the Sunshine Ladies Tour. In 2020, she won the Ladies Event at the Investec Royal Swazi Open, and in 2021, the Joburg Ladies Open. She finished second in the 2021 Order of Merit, behind Lee-Anne Pace. She played three seasons on the Sunshine Ladies Tour as an amateur and one year as a professional.
Alexander became a member of the Ladies European Tour in January 2020 but missed most of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, unable to travel to Europe. In November, she made her breakthrough with victory in the Saudi Ladies Team International alongside Emily Kristine Pedersen and Michele Thomson. She holed the winning putt for a closing birdie on the 54th hole, sealing the victory for her team.
2021 Notes: Played 12 LET events to finish 73rd on the Race to Costa del Sol and was T-20th at the Jabra Ladies Open, VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, and Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
2022 Notes: Was T-4th at the Investec SA Women's Open, three shots back of the Lee-Anne Pace/Magdalena Simmermacher playoff. Was T-4th at the Ladies Italian Open, she was a shot back of the Morgane Metraux/Alessandra Fanali/Meghan MacLaren playoff.
She competed as Casandra Hall until her marriage to Adrian Alexander, a bodybuilder, on February 4th, 2022
