Dave Sergeant

Has practiced law since 1970, attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and graduated from Drake University Law School; has attempted to qualify for the Senior Open every year since 1995, this is his second time qualifying for the Open. Played in the Senior Open in 1998 at Riviera Country Club, missed the cut by four shots; in qualifying for the 2003 Open, took medalist honors at Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella, Iowa to qualify for the Open, shot a 75 in a day of survival on a very difficult, wet day on a very difficult golf course. played in the US Senior Amateur in St. Louis in 2001, making the final 32; also played in the U.S. Senior Amateur in 2002, made the final 16; started playing golf at 6 years old, played in high school, at St. Olafs, where the squad went to NCAAs, has been playing tournaments since a kid, continued through high school and college, played tournaments, locally and nationally, since then; in Senior division in the state of Iowa, won the Iowa Match Play 4 out of the last 6 years, the Senior Player of the Year in Iowa 4 out of the last 6 years; married to wife, Susan, has four daughters and one son wife, and a granddaughter; Mark Cady, an Iowa Supreme Court Justice, will caddy for him.
