Played in the 2009 U.S. Senior Open at Crooked Stick G.C. Was medalist at his 2009 U.S. Senior Open qualifier at Thunder Canyon Golf Course in Washoe Valley, Nev. Won the Yokota Air Force Base Club Championship in Japan. Won the Altus Air Force Base Club Championship in Oklahoma. Won the Travis Air Force Base Club Championship in California. Won the Cypress Lakes Invitational for the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). His most memorable golf moment was when he won his first individual title at Yokota. He has tried to qualify every year for the U.S. Senior Open. Only plays four to five events a year because of his hectic work schedule. A retired Air Force pilot for the Reserves, who now flies MD-11s for FedEx. He is a member of eClub Sacramento. Does most of his playing at Haggin Oaks and Bing Maloney. He likes to swim and bike in his spare time outside of golf. His wife is Patti of 30 years, and they have one son Derek, who is 28.
