Elaine Crosby

Elaine Crosby started playing golf at the age of 20 when she was a student at Michigan, prior to that she was a tennis player. Two years after first picking up a golf club, Crosby won the 1980 Bowling Green Invitational Championship. In 1981, Crosby won the Michigan Women's Amateur Championship. Upon graduating with a bachelor's degree in business University of Michigan in 1981 she turned professional. Prior to getting her LPGA Tour card for the 1985 season, she played for two years on mini-tours and won a futures tour event.
Crosby played full-time on the LPGA between 1985 and 2000. She played in 410 events making the cut in 228 of them. She was in the top-10 36 times and won the 1989 Mizuno Classic and 1994 Lady Keystone Open. Her best year was 1994 as she had 6 top-five finishes and won $344,466 which placed her 11th on the money list. During her years on the LPGA, she was a member of the LPGA Executive committee from 1992 to 1994. She was the president of the LPGA Tournament division in 1994 and non-voting member of the LPGA executive committee from 1997 to 98.
When she retired from playing on the LPGA Tour in 2000, she was well equipped to join the business world. Elaine served on the board at Symmetrics Marketing Corporation for seven years and founded the golf instruction website FINDaLESSON.com. Not only was she an instructor, in 2011 she was hired as the new coordinator of Jackson Area Catholic Schools and she continues in that role.
Crosby also plays on the Legends Tour and recorded one win at the 2004 Hy-Vee Classic along with 21 top-10 finishes in almost 50 events. She played in the 2019 Legends Suquamish event and finished T-14th.
Crosby has hosted an LPGA Legends event for 16 years in the Michigan area (including a Legends Tour 18-hole professional tournament for seven of those years). Through this annual pro-am and in partnership with a Michigan Wendy's franchisee, Crosby has helped raise more than $2.5 million of the $18 million raised by The Legends Tour since 2000 for charity partners.
Crosby was T-64th in the 2018 Senior LPGA Championship.
