Garrett Osborn

Osborn was a two-sport athlete in high school, playing football and baseball. He did not take up golf until the summer before his freshman year at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Osborn finished his freshman season as a Blazer by winning the Alabama State Match Play Championship in the summer of 2004. In the following year, he finished 11th in the Porter Cup as a member of the United States squad and earn all-conference honors, just as his brother Dalton did as a Blazer in 2000 and 2001. In his final season at UAB, Osborn was named a third-team All-American by Golfweek, an honor shared by only two UAB alum, Paul Dickinson and 2010 U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell. Osborn turned pro in 2007, and in 2008 he played 26 events, making 14 cuts and securing 10 top-25 finishes, including a T-3rd at the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic, where he shot a 15-under-par 270. In 2014, Osborn finished T-10th and T-16th respectively in consecutive weeks at the United Leasing Championship and the Nova Scotia Open on the Mackenzie Tour, and managed a T-9th at the PGA TOUR?s Sanderson Farms Championship.
