Today is the Head Professional: GC Wels, GC Bad Kleinkirchheim /Kaiserburg GC Millstattersee. Also was the national coach of the Austrian Golf Association between 2000-2006.
Three top-10 finishes in the 2011 represented a solid start to life on the Senior Tour for the Scottish born Austrian national who secured his card at the first attempt at Qualifying School. Finished T-10th in the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scottish Senior Open at Fairmont St. Andrews, the town where he was born, and followed that up with 9th in the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters and T-8th in the Fubon Senior Open. Ended the year in 34th position on the Order of Merit. Came tenth at the 2010 Qualifying School having had a two stroke lead after 54 holes but a final round 75 meant he settled for a conditional card. Raised in the north of England, played briefly on The European Tour in the 1980s playing in 54 events with two top-ten finish, T-6th in 1990 Australin Open and 1992 Moroccan Open. Moved to Austria in 1984 to take up a coaching job and has lived there ever since. Won once on the European Challenge Tour in 1993 en route to finishing fourth on the Rankings. Failed to retain his European Tour card the following year but returned to competitive golf on the Senior Tour.
The Scottish-born Austrian national enjoyed his best season in 2015 as he won his first Senior Tour event at the Swiss Senior Open and finished fourth in the Senior Tour Order of Merit. Finished runner up in both the ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship and Prostate Cancer UK Scottish Senior Open as well as recording a fourth top ten finish.
