He is from the same club (West Cornwall Golf Club) as 'Long Jim Barnes,' winner of the 1916 and 1919 PGA Championship, 1921 U.S. Open, and 1925 Open Championship.
In 2012 at the age of 14, he was the youngest player ever to be a member of the England U18 Boys International Team that won the Home Internationals. He was responsible for the point that ensured England's victory in the event. He was also England's Under 16 team captain. He was the No. 1 player on Cornwall's men's team that won the English Men's County Championship. Was also one of a team of six to represent England in the European Boys Team Championship in Finland in 2015. He finished in a tie for 16th out of 96 golfers. Made the cut at the 2015 British Amateur. He got to the quarterfinals and lost to Scott Gregory 4 & 3. As an individual, he won the 2014 Welsh Open Youth Championship with a score of 17-under par. Placed fifth in stroke play in the Carris Trophy, which is a top U18 event in Europe. He also represented England in the Irish Boys Open and the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters, finishing eighth. Member of the Palmer Cup in 2017 and '18. He was a part of the Great Britain and Ireland Team during the 2019 Walker Cup, following which he turned into a pro. At the end of the year finished T-114th in Korn Ferry Tour qualifying, getting him limited privileges on the Korn Ferry Tour.
2020.21 Notes: Played in 30 Korn Ferry Tour events in the duo season, making 17 cuts with five top-ten finishes. He finished 40th in the regular season points standings. Shot a final round 65 to finish T-2nd at the 2020 Lincoln Land Championship a shot bqack of winner Brett Drewitt. It was his first top-ten of his Korn Ferry carrer. Also T-8th at the 2020 Savannah Golf Championship and T-6th at the Orange County National. Shot 64-63-66-67 at the 2021 Wichita Open to get his first Korn Ferry Tour. He was one shot ahead of Curtis Thompson. Shot a final round 64 inclluding 5-under 30 on the back nine to finish T-9th athte Pinnacle Bank Championship. Began the season with conditional status and earned his first career start at the Korn Ferry Challenge at TPC Sawgrass, the first event following the COVID-19 pandemic hiatus, via a 4-for-3 playoff at a Monday qualifier.
2022 Notes: Played in 23 Korn Ferry Tour events making 16 cuts with four top-ten finishes. Won his second career Korn Ferry Tour victory at the NV5 Invitational as he birdied five of the final seven holes of regulation and carded a 5-under 30 on the back nine of the final round. That forced a sudden-death playoff with Nick Hardy at 22-under 262. Won on the third hole of the playoff (birdied all three). Next week was 5th att the Rex Hospital Open, three shots back of the winner Davis Thompson. Opened with a 7-under 65 and eventually finished 18-under 270 for T-8th at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. In the season ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship, made a final round run with sixx birdies and an eagle in a bogey-free 65 to finish T-3rd, three shots back of the winner Justin Suh. Had two starts on the PGA Tour, made one cut in finishing T-8th at the 2021 Shriners Children's Open. Earned his first PGA Tour card as he finished 10th on the season-long Korn Ferry Tour Eligibility Points List.
2023 Notes: Was T-7th at the Puerto Rico Open and T-10th at the Mexico Open. Opened with rounds of 62-66 and held at least a share of the lead after each of the first three rounds of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Shot 72-73 over the weekend, and with bogeys on the 15th and 18th holes on Sunday missed the Emiliano Grillo/Adam Schenk playoff by a shot finishing T-3rd.
