Jason Allred

Allred won the 1997 U.S. Junior Amateur, defeating Trevor Immelman in the final, 1 up, at Aronimink G.C. in Newtown Square, Pa. While at Pepperdine, he earned the 2002 Byron Nelson Award, given to a graduating senior who has shown academic and athletic success as well as good character while in college. He was also named Pepperdine Student-Athlete of the Year in 2002. His golf instructors have included Mike Bender, Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott.
Since turning pro in 2002, he has bounced around between the PGA Tour (in 2005, 2008 and 2014) and Web.com Tour (2006-2007, 2012-2015). After turning pro in 2002, he played mostly on the Grey Goose/Gateway Tour until he finished T-13th at PGA Tour Q-School at the end of 2004. That finish gave him his card for 2005, a season that in 29 starts only produced one top-25 finish - a T-17th in his first start of the year at the Sony Open. He didn't make it through Q-School and went to play on the Web.com Tour in 2006.
2006 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 23; in money - 12; top-10 finishes - 3; scoring average - 70.50 (ranked 24th); money - $147,540 (ranked 38th); best finish - third at the National Mining & Albertsons Boise Open.
2007 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 29; in money - 13; top-10 finishes - 3; scoring average - 71.23 (ranked T81st); money - $81,071 (ranked 74th); best finish - third at the National Mining & Albertsons Boise Open.
After 2007, he returned to Q-School. He received his card after finishing fifth, enabling his return to the PGA Tour in 2008 where he finished 221 on the money list, made the cut in seven of 23 events, and produced a best finish of T-28th at U.S. Bank in Milwaukee. Due to this performance, he didn't retain his card on the PGA Tour or Web.Com Tour. Following that, he didn't play much until 2012, and that was after finishing T-63rd in the 2011 Q-School.
2012 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 25; in money - 12; top-10 finishes - 0; scoring average - 71.07 (ranked 91st); money - $81,071 (ranked 74th); best finish - T-12th at the Mylan Classic.
2013 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 10; in money - 5; top-10 finishes - 10; money - $37,096 (ranked 108th); best finish - T-12th at the Mylan Classic.
2014 Notes: Played in eight events on Web.com Tour and had a best finish of T-11th at the South Georgia Classic. With two children and another on the way, he considered pursuing a different career, but in February, got into the PGA Tour's Northern Trust Open via Monday qualifying, then T-3rd to earn $388,600, the biggest payday of his career and more than he had earned in every PGA Tour event he had played before, combined. He strung together enough PGA Tour starts that he came close to earning a PGA Tour card off a non-members money list. Although he fell short, Allred did earn status on the Web.com Tour for this year.
2014 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 8; in money - 4; top-10 finishes - 0; money - $20,640 (ranked 140th); best finish - T-11th at the South Georgia Classic.
2015 Notes: Finished the Web.com Tour season with 22 starts, one third-place finish, three top 10s, five top 25s and 13 cuts made. Was 50th on the combined final money list. His best finish was T-3rd at the Nova Scotia Open. Was 41st on the money list at the conclusion of the Regular Season. In the Web.com Tour Finals, made three of four cuts, with a T-37th in the opening-Hotel Fitness Championship his best performance. On the PGA Tour, made two of three cuts, including a T-25th at the Barracuda Championship. Missed the cut at the U.S. Open.
2016 Notes: Playing full time on the Web.Com Tour, best finish T-32nd BMW Charity Pro-Am.
