Jeong Eun Lee

On the Korean Tour, her name is Lee Jeong Eun5. There have been at least six professional women golfers named Jeong Eun Lee. The first four players have retired or play sparingly on the Korean LPGA. This player is Jeong Eun Lee 5, and she is not to be confused with Jeong Eun Lee 6, who won the 2019 U.S. Women's Open.
Started playing golf at the age of 10. Credits Se Ri Pak as the individual most influencing her career. Jeong Eun Lee turned pro and joined the Korean LPGA in 2007, but her breakthrough year came in 2009. That year she won twice, collected 6 top 10s, and made over 242 million Korean Won ($211,653), finishing 4th on the year-end money list. One of her biggest moment came from the year's second major, the Shinsegae KLPGA Championship. She wound up in a pitched battle with top KLPGA superstar Hee Kyung Seo for the title. Seo had already won the first major of the year, the Korean Women's Open. But Lee proved her better this day, winning the tournament while Seo finished second. Seo would go on to win the other two majors of the year, so only Lee prevented her from sweeping them all. Lee played on the winning Korean squad at the 2009 Kyoraku Cup. She achieved one win and one tie during the tournament.
2010 Notes: Lee finished 7th on the KLPGA money list, carding 9 top tens. The highlight of her year was a win at the Hyundai event in September.
2011 Notes: She won once, capturing the Nefs Masterpiece title in August. She had two other top 10s and earned nearly 191 million Korean Won ($167,048), which left her 15th on the money list.
2012 Notes: She had six top 10s on the KLPGA, with three fourths and two fifths, her best finishes. She wound up 24th on the money list.
2013 Notes: Started the season playing in two international events, with a 13th at the Swinging Skirts in Taiwan and a 6th in China at the Hyundai China Ladies Open. She ended up with a solid year on tour, finishing 12th on the money list with about 280 million South Korean Won ($244,887) earned. She had nine top 10s, including runner-up finishes at the Woori Financial and Lotte Mart Women's Open.
2014 Notes: Finished 31st on the money list, her best finish of the year was a T-2nd at the Hyundai China Ladies Open. She played LPGA Q-School in the Fall and finished T-28th, which earned her conditional status on tour for 2015.
2015 Notes: Played three LPGA events, finishing T-33rd at the Meijer LPGA, T-52nd at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic, and 74th at the KEB-HanaBank Championship. She focused more on the Korean LPGA. She had a good season in Korea, notching her first win in several years and finishing 15th on the money list with around 282 million Korean Won ($244,887) earned. In July, Lee won the Samdasoo Ladies Masters in a playoff over So Yeon Park. It was Lee's fifth career KLPGA win and first in four years. Besides that win, she had six other top 10s.
2016 Notes: Played entirely on the KLPGA in 29 events; her best finish was a runner-up at the Honma Golf Seoul Economy Ladies Classic in late October. She also notched two other top tens and earned 199 million Korean Won ($174,045) for the season, good enough to finish 29th on the money list. In December, she returned to LPGA Q-School and earned a full card by finishing 5th.
2017 Notes: Played in 6 events on the Korean LPGA: T-13th at the Lotte Rent a Car Ladies Open, T-2nd at the Edaily Ladies Open with KFC, T-16th at the Kyochon Honey Ladies Open and T-23rd at the NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship, T-23rd at the Hanwha Classic and T-42nd at the SavingsBank Se Ri Pak Invitational.
