Julieta Granada

Started playing golf at the age of 4. Credits her parents, Scott Betger, Jonathan Yarwood and David Leadbetter as the individuals most influencing her career. Her mother, Rosa, has served as her caddie.
Named the 2004 American Junior Golf Association Rolex Player of the Year after winning the 2004 AJGA Rolex Girls Junior Championship. Won five additional AJGA events and was named to the AJGA All-America Team from 2001-04. A member of the Canon Cup Team in 2003 and 2004.
Won the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship in 2004 with a 20-hole victory over Jane Park in the final at Mira Vista Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas, becoming the first player from Paraguay to win a USGA championship.
Was a quarterfinalist at the 2004 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links. Named the 2004 Athlete of the Year in Paraguay. Granada also won the 2004 South American Team Championship individual and team titles. Won the 2004 Orange Bowl International Junior Championship and the 2005 South Atlantic Ladies Amateur. Individual champion at the 2004 World Amateur Team Championship.
Turned professional in June 2015. Played on the Futures Tour, where she won the YWCA Futures Classic and finished runner-up at both the Children's Hospital Futures Golf Classic and at the Bank of Ann Arbor Futures Golf Classic, her first professional tournament. T-6th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2006 LPGA Tour season.
In 2006, became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the ADT Championship, where she earned an LPGA Tour record $1 million first-place paycheck, and also became the first Paraguayan-born player to win on the LPGA Tour. Set an LPGA Tour record for the most money earned by a rookie at $1,633,586. Posted seven top-10 finishes, including runner-up finishes at the Wegmans LPGA and at the Corona Morelia Championship. Carded a career-low 65 during the second round of the Fields Open in Hawaii, where she was T-4th, finished 8th at the Weetabix Women's British Open, a career-best finish in a major championship. Recorded her first LPGA career hole-in-one during the final round of Florida's Natural Charity Championship.
In 2007, recorded three top-10 finishes including runner-up at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay and a T-2nd at the Corona Championship. T-10th at the U.S. Women's Open. Crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings after a T-28th at the Safeway Classic. Recorded her second-career LPGA hole-in-one during the final round of the Safeway International.
In 2008, best finish was 12th at the Longs Drugs Challenge.
In 2009, best finish was a T-20th at the Safeway Classic. Played in six tournaments on the Ladies European Tour and recorded a season-best T-9th at the Wales Ladies Championship. She finished 73rd on the money list with season's earnings of 21,335 euros.
In 2010, best finish was 22nd at the LPGA Tour Championship. On the LET, posted four top-10 finishes in six starts. T-2nd at the Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open in China, losing a four-way play-off to Lee-Anne Pace. Posted a 9th-place finish at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, T-9th at the Open de Espana and Korean Ladies Masters.
In 2011, best finish was a T-7th at the Kraft Nabisco Championship. On the Ladies European Tour played in six events recorded two top-10 finishes, with a season-best T-6th at the Ladies Irish Open followed by a T-7th at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. Her best finish on the LPGA was a T-7th at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
2012 Notes: Played in 26 events, making 20 cuts and earning $445,685. She had four top-10 finishes, including a season-best T-2nd at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.
2013 Notes: Played in 26 events, making 19 cuts. Her best finish was a T-9th at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. She earned $224,662, which placed her 55th on the money list.
2014 Notes: She was 18th on the money list (her best season since she was fourth in 2006) and seventh in CME points with 27 cuts made in 28 starts. She missed the cut at the ANA Inspiration but followed with top 20 finishes in nine of her next 11 starts. She was T-2nd at the CME Group Tour Championship, losing a playoff to Lydia Ko. Granada was eliminated on the second hole of the sudden-death playoff.
2015 Notes: Made 25 cuts in 28 starts, was 51st on the LPGA Money list and 49th in CME points. Had two top-10 finishes, T-7th at the Handa Women's Australian Open and T-9th at the Yokohama Tire LPGA. She won the bronze medal in the women's competition at the Pan American Games in Toronto. Granada shot five-under 283 and was four back of gold medalist Mariajo Uribe.
2016 Notes: Played in 22 LPGA events making 8 cuts. Best finish was T-8th at the HSBC Women's Champions. Finished 51st on the money list. She was T-44th at the 2016 Rio Olympics as a member of Paraguay's golf team, where she carried her country's flag in the opening ceremony.
2017 Notes: She missed the cut in all eight of her starts on the LPGA Tour. She did play in 4 events on the Symetra Tour making 1 cut, T-54th at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Health Classic.
2018 Notes: She open-qualified for the Lotte Championship and finished T-39th.
