Keith Huber

Huber grew up around golf. His father, James, was a green superintendent. His uncle, Al, was a golf pro. Huber?s sole interest was baseball. However, in ninth grade he found out that if you joined the golf team, you could play a free round of golf at the local course. That was the perfect incentive for Huber. Had only played one round of golf before trying out for the golf team. Qualified as second best on the team.
Attended Fresno City College, where he played on the golf squad without a scholarship. Transferred to Cal.State University, Stanislaus after he was offered a scholarship, and had exposure to larger tournaments.
His greatest memory is qualifying for the Senior Open.
He played on Web.Com Tour in 2004. Garnered two top-10 finishes. Played alongside with Gary Player at the 2005 BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs.
Prides himself on what he has been able to accomplish in golf. In 1994, he set off with $800 in his pocket and a Volkswagen van, traveling from tournament to tournament trying to make ends meet. He finally reached a point where he no longer had to live out of his van and could stay in hotels. Overcame a lot of obstacles to prove to himself that he could play.
He and his wife Ann have an architect business. Has a 13-year-old son, Logan, who is a wrestler and has a black belt in Taekwondo.
Has tried to qualify for the U.S. Open a handful of times, making it to the sectional round four times. Attempted to qualify for the Senior Open in 2016.
