Larry Stubblefield

Shot 71 to earn the only spot at the Honolulu, Hawaii, sectional and qualify for his second U.S. Senior Open. Tied for 59th at the 2002 U.S. Senior Open. Played in the 1972 U.S. Open but missed the cut. Played on the PGA Tour from 1973-75 and the European Tour from 1977-78 before regaining amateur status in 1983. Served on the U.S. Mid-Amateur Committee from 1984-1994 and was medalist at the championship in 1983 and a quarterfinalist in 1985. Won the Hawaii State Amateur in 1972 and 1984 and the Hawaii State Senior Open in 2004 and 2007. Six-time winner of the Aloha Section PGA Senior Championship. Named the Aloha Section PGA Senior Player of the Year five consecutive years (2000-04). Elected to the Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame in 2001. Owns an insurance agency. Enjoys fine woodworking and building furniture.
